The Human Design New Year: A Journey of Reflection and Intention

This year, I found myself deeply intrigued by the significance of the Human Design New Year, which starts on January 21st with the Sun's transit into Gate 41. Let’s explore this topic and see what resonates with you.

For those unfamiliar, Human Design is a unique system that combines elements from astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and the chakras. It offers a framework for understanding ourselves and the energies that influence our lives.

    The Significance of Gate 41

Gate 41, known as the Gate of Contraction, marks the beginning of a new experiential cycle in Human Design. This gate symbolises new beginnings, the initiation of dreams, and the planting of seeds for future aspirations. For me, this period resonated deeply as a time to set intentions and embrace new possibilities. It's about imagining what can be and daring to dream about what we wish to manifest in our lives.

    Personal Reflections in December

Interestingly, before the arrival of Gate 41, we encounter Gate 60 around December 15th. This is the Gate of Acceptance or Limitation, encouraging us to understand and work within the constraints of our current reality. I naturally found myself entering a phase of reflection during this period, reviewing the past year.

This reflection was enlightening, providing valuable insights into my journey and highlighting areas to be mindful of in the coming year. These insights percolated within me, setting the stage for the transformative energy of Gate 41.

Embracing 'Inspired' as My Year's Theme

Come mid-January, a new awareness dawned upon me, culminating in the theme 'Inspired' for the year. This felt perfectly aligned with the transition to Gate 41. It's not just about being inspired in one aspect of life but in all - my work, my personal style, my home, my relationships, and beyond. This theme aligns seamlessly with my philosophy of a calm, minimal approach to business and life, where simplicity and authenticity reign supreme.

    Work and Life integration

As I embrace this theme of 'Inspired', I'm also mindful of incorporating it into how I offer my services and interact with my clients. It's about feeling inspired by the very essence of my work, the clients I choose to work with, and the conversations we have.

The journey from Gate 60 to Gate 41 mirrors a natural progression from acceptance to inspiration, mirroring my own transition from reflection to setting intentions for the new year.

    Looking Ahead

As I move forward, I'm excited to see how this alignment with the Human Design New Year will influence my personal and professional life.

I feel this organic process also fits in quite nicely with my Seasonal Planning Practice 🍃 because it’s giving me clarity for what to channel my time and attention to for the coming change of season.

Meanwhile I’ve not been caught up in trying to map out my work and life since the new year, because I’m amidst my winter seasonal plan (December to February).

Have you explored how the acceptance and limitations of Gate 60 pave the way for the new beginnings and dreams of Gate 41 in your life?
