Why I Recommend Squarespace Over Wordpress

If beauty and simplicity matter to you then build your website on Squarespace.

People often ask me which website platform I recommend. My first website was built on WordPress but I switched to Squarespace a few years ago and I’ve never looked back.

Here’s why I recommend Squarespace over anything else:

  1. The backend of the Squarespace platform is as beautiful as the front end that your visitors see. It's easy to use; you just drag and drop elements where you want them.

  2. You don't need to spend hours searching for widgets or themes that don't end up working or looking like you thought they would (which was often my experience with WordPress). Everything you need is already loaded.

  3. Squarespace acquired Acuity Scheduling in April 2019, and they work beautifully together.

  4. You’ll typically receive a response to a support request within 24 hours.

  5. There is a Squarespace Rockstars Facebook Group that you can join to ask questions and receive help from other users.

  6. Squarespace has an excellent mobile App for both Apple and Android called ‘Analytics’ which I frequently access to see which pages and blogs are receiving the most attention.

  7. You can organise your domain name through Squarespace, or you just bring yours with you. And you can easily migrate your website from WordPress to Squarespace.

  8. And the best thing is that you end up with a beautiful website that looks like you've spent thousands when it really only cost you $1o5 USD per year. I’ve been on their Personal Plan, which includes 20 pages, for the past 4 years, and it’s given me everything I need.

One of the main arguments web designers have against Squarespace is that it’s not as good as WordPress in relation to SEO (search engine optimisation).

I’ve not found this to be true. For example, this blog I published about applying Human Design to business over a year ago is putting me in front of 193 new people each month, some of those visitors (around 10 per month) go on to buy my Art Of Responding course.

Making the switch from WordPress to Squarespace was like switching from Windows to Apple, so refreshing! It’s just a pleasure to use. If beauty and functionality are important to you, then you'll ♡ Squarespace.

Now the next thing you need to know about it the 5 pages your website needs to have.

Over and out,
